NY Times Uncorks Sosa Saga

So much for hard work and dedication.

Not that we need the New York Times to tell us Sammy Sosa used PEDs.

The man grew from a Dominican stick figure into a modern day Transformer.

What other proof did you need?

Had Sosa come clean, all would have been forgiven yeas ago.

Instead, he chose the path of Bonds and Clemens: fans are pathetic suckers who will believe anything.

Haven’t these roid-heads learned anything? When you run from the truth the media will follow.

Give reporters the dirt and they won’t dig up your hidden skeletons, either.

Had Bonds and Clemens simply handed themselves over no one would have ever found out about their marital affairs and personal downfalls off the field.

Still, you can’t feel sorry for these guys. They broke the law, lied about it, and led the media on a high speed chase only rivaled by O.J. Simpson.

If you haven’t done anything wrong, why live in denial?

Jason Giambi and Andy Pettitte only half apologized and were let off the hook.

Heck, even A-Rod’s weak apology was strong enough to kill Selena Robert’s tell all book about him.

It’s unfair to ask pro ballplayers to be perfect, but asking an apology when they’re at fault shouldn’t be out of the question.

I say let these guys sit around and wait on the HOF.

After all, if you cheat the game and still can’t find it in you to make a speedy and genuine apology, why should writers rush to you in the Hall?

Sosa may ask for a Spanish translation, but the message is clear: Hard work and dedication my eye.
